it's an office, but not as we know it.

This is too fabulous not to share.

My talented friend Sarah Sophie Flicker (one of the director duo who produced our forthcoming video) showcasing her style, work-space and trapeze skills in the New York Times:

Very soon you'll get to see her swinging from a 'Venus' star - the video's coming asap :)

would you like to swing on a star?

... carry moon-beams home in a jar?

Would you believe that this hastily snapped iPhone pic is the only shot I managed to take myself at the 'Venus In Hollywood' video shoot in New York last week?

It shows the crew only just getting started on the first set, but it gives you a little glimpse (before I was whisked off into hair & makeup and didn't pick up my phone for another 12 hours!).

I can't look at it without singing this lovely tune (because, yes - they are trapeze hoops being hung, in case you're wondering!).

cinemagraphs

I came across these magical images on lovely LA blog Don Juan's Reckless Daughter and instantly felt compelled to share them here - no surprise considering the little gifs included in the sidebar our blog. They are both beautiful and also appeal to the child in me who searched for fairies in gardens and wishes that magic was real (I'm sure I'm not the only one for whom they seem like the 'living' photographs in Harry Potter!).

According to their New Yorker creators, (visual-graphics artist Kevin Burg, and photographer Jamie Beck), a 'Cinemagraph' is "an image that contains within itself a living moment that allows a glimpse of time to be experienced and preserved endlessly."

I love the element of surprise they bring, what a joy.
